The Team
Darnell Irozuru
Managing Director
Darnell Irozuru is the Founder of Birch Faraday Capital, established in 2021. Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant at PwC, he brings over a decade of corporate finance experience advising clients across mergers, acquisitions, disposals, restructurings, fundraising, and strategic planning.
Over his career, Darnell has worked with leading organisations including Capita, Sky, Heathrow, BP, and National Grid. Before founding Birch Faraday, he worked closely with business owners and management teams to design and execute financial and operational strategies that drove sustainable growth
Cyrus Ordoobadi​
Investment Associate
Cyrus joined Birch Faraday Capital in June 2025, bringing global experience across investment banking, project finance, and climate technology. Before joining, he worked at Shellworks, where he supported the company’s fundraising and finance activities, and advised several deeptech ventures through leading accelerator programs.
Earlier in his career, Cyrus originated and syndicated over 40 transactions at Crédit Agricole in London. He holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge and a BSc in Finance and Economics from NYU Stern.
Peter Horton
Vice President
Peter joined Birch Faraday Capital in October 2025, bringing extensive experience across deal origination, execution, and post-acquisition integration. Prior to joining, he was part of PHD Industrial Holdings, a £75m investment group, where he played a key role in identifying and delivering growth opportunities.
He also served as a Board Observer at First Class Holidays during its acquisition of African Pride. A Chartered Accountant, Peter trained at Deloitte, achieving first-time passes. At Birch Faraday, he leads sourcing efforts and supports deal execution across the portfolio.
Max Allan
Investment Analyst​​
Max joined Birch Faraday in September 2025, bringing experience across private equity, investment banking, and capital markets.
Prior to joining Birch Faraday, Max worked in strategy and business development at a global stock exchange. At Birch Faraday he supports deal sourcing, evaluation, and execution across the portfolio.
