Kay is Finance Director at Birch Faraday, bringing more than 25 years of experience leading acquisitions, disposals and financial transformation across complex, high-growth environments. She works closely with business owners and leadership teams to provide financial clarity, funding strategy and integration support across the portfolio.
Kay has delivered approximately 30 acquisitions and disposals, including a €175 million exit, and played a central role in scaling a technology group from £75 million to over £500 million in turnover. She has extensive experience structuring transactions that balance commercial outcomes with operational practicality and long-term growth objectives.
At Birch Faraday, Kay supports acquisition execution, equity and debt funding, integration planning and group financial strategy. She helps portfolio companies build robust reporting, forecasting, budgeting and performance analysis frameworks, strengthening decision-making and financial discipline. Her experience includes cross-border stakeholder management, leading finance teams through significant growth and transformation, and acting as a trusted adviser to boards and senior leadership teams.
Kay has also held board and trustee positions alongside her commercial responsibilities.
